Future transaction are transactions that are planned but did not yet occur. For example, a monthly payment for a subscription. Create recurring transactions and receive reminders about them.
Who can create a future transactions?
Users only with premium plan can create a scheduled or recurring transactions.
There are 2 types of future transactions. Lets check each of them below.
Schedule payments
Scheduled payments can be a valuable tool for planning future expenses or income. With the Grassfeld mobile app, you can set up notifications to ensure you never miss an upcoming transaction.
How to create?
- When creating a new transaction, tap on the "Date" field.
- In the action sheet, enable the "Scheduled" toggle to select a future date.
Note: For synced accounts, you can only create a scheduled transaction. Later, you’ll need to choose the related transaction from the transaction list.
- Select a future date and press the "Apply" button.
- The action sheet will close, and on the transaction details screen, you can add any additional information. Finally, tap "Add Transaction" to save your scheduled transaction.
Reccuring payments
Never miss another payment by setting up weekly or monthly payments and get timely reminders.
How to create?
- Tap the "Make Recurring" button when creating a new transaction.
- In the action sheet, choose a recurrence period: daily, weekly, monthly, every 3 months, yearly, or custom.
Custom: The custom option allows you to further personalize settings, including:
- Repeat frequency (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly)
- Number of repetitions
- End date (never or after a specific number of occurrences)
- Tap the "Confirm" button to close the action sheet. Finally, click on the "Add Transaction" button to save your recurring transaction.
The transaction will be repeated on the 10th day of each month.
Additional information on future payments
After creating a scheduled or recurring future transaction, you’ll have access to a few special settings related to it:
- Confirmation. Manually (needs your personal approving) / Automatically (without approving)
- Notifications. You'll receive a notification about the planned transaction.
Where I can find scheduled or recurring transactions?
You can find all scheduled or reccuring transactions on the "Overview" screen or at the top of the "Transactions" screen. Additionally, use the quick filter dropdown menu to view only scheduled or reccuring transactions.
Scheduled or recurring transactions have special icons next to the transaction icon for easy identification.
