In the application, you can create various types of transactions, similar to how you handle our expenses in real life. The Grassfeld application allows you to cover all real-life scenarios, making your money management easier and more convenient.
Transactions types
- Recurring - a transaction that occurs regularly on a set schedule, such as weekly, monthly, or yearly. Examples include your monthly rent or a subscription. Recurring transactions help you track predictable expenses and income over time.
- Split - a single transaction divided into multiple categories. For example, if you spend €100 at a store, you might allocate €60 to groceries and €40 to household items. Splitting transactions gives a more accurate overview of your spending by category.
- Scheduled - a planned transaction that hasn’t occurred yet but is expected on a specific future date, such as a bill due next week or a salary payment on the 1st of the month. Scheduled transactions assist with budgeting and forecasting future cash flows.
- Transfer - a transaction representing money moved between financial accounts, not an expense or income. In such a way you can keep track of internal money movements without affecting your net income or expenses.
- Hidden - a transaction that is intentionally hidden from your main reports or summaries. This helps keep your financial overviews clean by excluding certain transactions from analysis.
- Reimbursement - this transaction is used when you receive money back for a previous expense. A reimbursement is always linked to a main (original) transaction. This connection keeps your records accurate and ensures the refund is properly reflected in your reports.
Note. Transactions could have several types at the same time. For example, they could be linked to a saving goal, have reimbursement, and be hidden.
