No single budgeting app is right for everyone, and it depends on how you like to budget – but we've done everything we can to give you enough flexibility to customize the solution.
Grassfeld is a Dutch budgeting app that connects all major Dutch banks, plus banks across the EU and North America. It combines budgets, savings goals, debts, analytics and an AI assistant in one app.
What matters most in a budgeting app?
1. Automatic bank connection
Grassfeld supports all major banks in the Netherlands, the rest of the EU, and North America (the USA and Canada), with more than 45,000 financial institutions connected. If you also spend cash, you can add those transactions manually and keep everything in one place.
2. Budgets on every plan
Budgets are available with any subscription, so you never need a higher tier to use them.
3. Savings goals, debts and shared costs
All of these are supported. You can manage your budget, savings goals, debts and shared expenses in a single app.
4. A free trial
You can try the app before you commit, so you can see how it works for you first.
5. Data security and privacy
Grassfeld has implemented a robust security framework focused on the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data. Our security policies follow ISO standards and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to ensure compliance and a high level of protection.
Imagine Sanne, who lives in Utrecht and has a current account at one Dutch bank and a joint household account at another. She used to open two banking apps every Sunday just to see where her money had gone.
She starts with Grassfeld Light and connects one current account. The app sorts her transactions into categories and suggests budgets based on her spending. She sets a monthly grocery budget and a savings goal for a summer trip. A few weeks later she upgrades to Premium+ so she can link her second current account and share budgets with her partner.
Now her accounts, budgets and goals are all in one view, and she can ask the in-app assistant whether she is on track for her trip. Her savings accounts can’t be connected automatically, as EU regulations don’t allow it, so she added them to the app as manual accounts. The savings goal itself is also set up inside the app.
