Grassfeld helps couples in the Netherlands manage their household finances together in one app. With a Premium+ subscription, you can share budgets, savings goals and accounts with your partner, while connecting current accounts from major Dutch banks.
Keep fixed and variable expenses organized, track who pays for what, and get a clear overview of your shared finances — without giving up control of your individual accounts.
How does Grassfeld help couples manage shared finances?
Automatic bank connections: Connect your bank accounts to Grassfeld and your transactions will be imported automatically. You can also add transactions manually or import data from files whenever needed.
Flexible sharing with your partner: Share budgets, savings goals, debts and loans, as well as synced and manual accounts. You can also share loyalty cards, documents and files. This gives you a shared overview of your household finances while allowing each of you to keep your own accounts.
A clear overview of who pays for what: Keep track of who paid for each expense across your shared accounts, budgets, savings goals and loans. Use analytics to compare spending and better understand how you manage household costs together.
Support for multiple bank accounts: With Premium+, you can connect an unlimited number of bank accounts. The Light plan allows you to connect one bank account, making it easier to choose a plan that fits your needs.
Choose the level of access you want to share
You decide what your partner can do with the information you share.
- View-only access: Your partner can view shared accounts, savings goals and loans but cannot make changes.
- Editing access: Your partner can view shared information and make changes.
The person sharing their information must have a Premium+ subscription. The person receiving access needs a Light subscription for view-only access or Premium+ to edit shared information.
How it works: an example
Imagine Lisa and Jorrit, a couple living in Utrecht. They pay rent, buy groceries and manage subscriptions using three different current accounts. Keeping track of their household spending — and figuring out who paid for what — can quickly become confusing.
They connect their bank accounts to Grassfeld using Premium+, which supports unlimited bank connections. Together, they create a shared budget for groceries and another for fixed expenses, such as rent and insurance. They also set up a shared savings goal for their summer holiday and link relevant transactions from both accounts to it.
After a few weeks, Lisa and Jorrit use analytics to review their shared finances. They can see how much they spend on fixed and variable expenses, compare spending across their shared accounts and check who paid for each cost.
With everything organized in one place, they can make more informed decisions about their household budget.
